Is a poured, polished & seamless flooring option both for renovations and new builds, it is a cost effective option making use of the concrete screed floor already present in the construction process. Transforming concrete into a finished polished floor is a specialist trade & using diamond tipped cutting machines & because polishing is a multistep process, the client can choose the level of sheen, from satin to high-gloss that meets their maintenance and aesthetic requirements.
There are many design options with concrete, stains and concrete dyes are two of the most popular applications for enhancing the look of the floor while glass or coloured stone can be floated into the surface of the concrete mix which will be revealed when polishing the floor. Polished concrete is ideal with under floor heating due to its density the concrete has high thermal mass which allows it to reduce heat loss maintaining a more even temperature for your home.
Concrete is durable, hard wearing & easy to maintain, it is ideal in all areas of the home allowing the home owners to create an open plan feeling where the kitchen will flow effortlessly into a dining area and on into the living space & hallway. Polished concrete can also be used in bathrooms, all floors are sealed allowing them to become non porous and waterproof, and the floor can be cut to easily create a wet room, creating a modern space with no grout lines and shower tray.
